On this week’s episode of New England Lacrosse Journal’s “Chasing The Goal” podcast, hosts Kyle Devitte and Jack Piatelli were joined by Hood (Md.) College lacrosse coach Brad Barber.
Barber — a native of Frederick, Md. — was appointed head coach of the men’s lacrosse team at Hood College in July 2013. At the time he was 23-years-old which made him the youngest head coach in college lacrosse.
He has transformed the program into a contender in the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth. This season will be Barber’s ninth in charge of the program after serving as a graduate assistant in 2012 and ’13.
This spring, the Blazers have gotten off to a hot 4-0 start, including an overtime win over Shenandoah, 13-12. They recently defeated King’s College, 16-5, in their first home game of the season.
