Forty-six teams will be in action as the NCAA Division 3 women’s lacrosse tournament begins this weekend.
A dozen of those teams are from New England, qualifying either as conference champions or at-large selections.
For some, just being part of the big dance and knowing what's already been achieved is thrill enough. Others will consider it disappointing if they don’t keep playing for a while, with two rounds of play on tap for each of the next two weekends.
