We are only one month out from the start of brand new Division 1 women’s lacrosse seasons.
In addition to the 19 D-1 programs that are based in New England (welcome to the group, Stonehill), the region’s standout players also populate some of the nation’s best leagues.
In a series of watch lists this month, we’ll highlight five players from each of the nation’s top leagues, women with a proven track record or an intriguing upside.
First up: the Big 10, which sent its two best teams – Maryland and Northwestern – on to the final four last spring.
