The Women's Professional Lacrosse League, heading into its second year of competition, held its Spring Draft on Thursday, with 25 players selected across their five teams.
When all was said and done, five players who suit up for Division 1 teams in New England were picked.
The leading headline was Boston College sweeping the first three overall selections. Reigning Tewaaraton Award winner Sam Apuzzo went No. 1 overall to the New York Fight, midfielder Dempsey Arsenault (New Hampton, N.H.) went No. 2 overall to the Baltimore Brave and attacker Kenzie Kent (Norwell, Mass.) went No. 3 overall to the New England Command.
