The 2021 season came to a close last weekend at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn., and RIT lifted the NCAA trophy in spectacular fashion.
However, many other teams in the New England region had incredible seasons and are already looking forward to their 2022 campaigns.
Tufts won another NESCAC title and reached another final four, and four other teams from the region -- Babson, Endicott, UMass Boston and Lasell -- won conference championships.
So, before we dive into what lies ahead in 2022, let’s look back at our five biggest takeaways of a unique 2021 season.
