Kassidy Carmichael (Westford, Mass.) freely admits she is not a lacrosse player first. Never has been.
But Division 1 lacrosse in the Big Ten is in her future after she made a double commitment last month to play both ice hockey and lacrosse at Ohio State.
It’s a rare double-major – in the athletics sense – and one that calls to mind the incredible success Kenzie Kent (Norwell, Mass.) had playing those same two sports at Boston College.
Those who know Carmichael think she has something special, too.
