First off, the similarities.
Defender/midfielder Courtney Quirk and attack Lauren Ward are both juniors and starters since their freshman year at Brewster Academy. Both play multiple sports at the Lakes Region school and play club for the NH Tomahawks. Both recently made their college commitments, Quirk to James Madison and Ward to Fairfield.
But in terms of their demeanors, the two friends couldn’t be more different.
“Courtney is kind of the yin, the explosion, the electricity,” said Brewster coach Melissa Lawlor. “Lauren is more the steady, calming influence. They go well together.”
