From the second he set foot on the University of Massachusetts campus to the last moment that he played in a Boston Cannons uniform, Will Manny has been connected to New England.
Since then, the leagues have changed but the lithe lefty has continued to wreak havoc as a deadly wing shooter in the pros. This summer Manny is an All-Star for the sixth time in his nine-year career, and has amassed 16 goals and four assists in six games for Archers LC of the Premier Lacrosse League.
While his playstyle may have changed since his days with the Minutemen and the Cannons, his ability to score has not.
Once a ball-carrying, dodge-heavy attackman, Manny is now much more focused on getting into great positions and slyly depositing the ball into impossibly tight windows. It all looks so easy, but the evolution of his game wasn’t as drastic as it seems.
