Jenn Medjid has always felt her coach's support, both literally and figuratively.
She felt it again Sunday afternoon, with Boston College coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein's hand on her back for the bulk of a teary NCAA championship game postgame press conference.
Another stellar season for Boston College ended one win short of a national championship. The third-seeded Eagles fell to No. 1 Northwestern, 18-6, in the Division 1 title game in Cary, N.C., an emphatic ending that they didn't see coming.
It marked the sixth consecutive appearance in the national championship game for the Eagles, whose only win came in 2021.
