Assumption head coach Guy Bourdon was officially hired on Jan. 22, a short 25 days before the Greyhounds played their first competitive game of the season.
That came with equal parts nerves and excitement, and the latter certainly applied on the offensive end. After all, Bourdon inherited seniors Dan Farrell (Norwood, Mass.) and Travis Reid (Raynham, Mass.) down on attack.
“They’ve been a huge security blanket,” Bourdon said. “You know in critical points of the game, you can trust they’re going to make good decisions and are guys who will make everyone around them better. Having these guys as the foundation of what we do, it's made my life so much easier.”
