Several of the region’s toughest club teams gathered to do battle at the Fall Classic Tournament — formerly the Mayflower Classic — in Taunton, Mass.
Historically one of the top tournaments in the region, this event drew dozens of teams and reams of players from across the Northeast. College scouts from across the country made the trip to see some of the top prospects in the region and they did not leave disappointed.
Club teams, just like the players that populate them, are very different entities. Different coaches, play styles and ethos are just some of the things that separate them, besides the talent that they draw.
So, with that in mind, let's take a closer look at one of Massachusetts' first club teams -- the Fighting Clams.
