Fairfield enters coach Andrew Baxter’s fifth full season (COVID ended his debut season when Fairfield was 5-2) on an upward trajectory.
In 2024, the Stags posted a winning record in the regular season and fell to Delaware in OT in the semifinals of the CAA tournament. A trip to the NCAA tournament remains a goal and, in 2025, it could be within reach.
Fairfield returns a wealth of talent. Will Consoli is back to lead the top midfield line; he was second on the team in scoring in 2024 and named first-team All-CAA.
At attack, Jake Gilbert, who was third on the team in scoring, is also back. The pair are foundational pieces of an offense that will enter its second year under offensive coordinator Adrian Torok-Orban. In year one, the Stags were finding their footing in the system; in year two, they’ll look to take the next step.
