It’s the first week of October, which means that it’s time for college fall ball schedules to start rolling out on the men’s and women’s sides of the region.
The men’s pickings are, in fact, very slim right now, as several teams have elected to travel for their fall ball experience or haven’t officially announced their schedule.
The highlight of the men’s slate is Boston University hosting Bryant and UMass on Saturday, Oct. 19. Those teams have developed very healthy local rivalries with everyone except themselves, and all three teams are looking to challenge for their respective conference championships this coming spring.
If you’re a women’s lacrosse fan and you live in New England, you will be able to hop in your car almost every weekend of the month to go watch one of your favorite Division 1 programs test their mettle against a nationally-ranked opponent or a local rival.
