Last weekend, the Brown men’s lacrosse team hosted Israel's Men's National Team in Providence, R.I.
The Bears came out on top, but the game was played with five quarters. The contest was set up as both a test of wills and an opportunity to roll out new personnel for both squads.
Team Israel went into the game coming off of a finals appearance in LAXNAI (Box Lacrosse’s North American Invitational) in Utica, N.Y., a few weeks ago. Not all of the players were the same as the ones facing Brown, but the team itself was comprised of several former college players vying for playing time in the 2023 World Lacrosse Championship.
That tournament will be held this coming summer in San Diego and will feature teams from across the globe, including USA, Canada, Australia, Jamaica, Hong Kong and Japan.
