Drew Kelleher is starting his first year as the head coach at UMass Lowell.
He’s no stranger though to helping programs find new success, as he arrives from a Manhattan College program that he led to its first-ever MAAC title last season.
He accomplished successes at Manhattan by growing his “cool to care” team motto, a spirit of encouraging putting in the hard work, accountability and a deep desire to succeed. With Manhattan, Kelleher also honed his skills to develop players, which will serve him well at UMass Lowell.
“This program in a lot of ways is a fresh start, with our staff coming in, and our guys are viewing it that way, too," he said. "They've received a lot of the coaching and the messaging that we're giving, and it's been really fun so far.”
