PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers wrapped up the meat of its fall ball schedule on Sunday, taking on Brown and Bryant in a scrimmage doubleheader. The scrimmages were played with regular-season timing, so they had a real game atmosphere and tempo.
Rutgers played Brown first, with both clubs giving their “starters” a healthy amount of playing time.
The second game saw the Scarlet Knights take on Bryant. In that contest, Bryant went with its top weapons for most of the game, while Rutgers gave the majority of the playing time to freshmen and less experienced players.
All three teams had their share of New England standouts. Here are some takeaways.
