The 2022 season started strong for Dartmouth. After a season-opening loss to Merrimack, it rattled off four wins in a row, including an impressive 8-7 victory over Vermont.
Unfortunately, the rest of their season didn’t match up to those early efforts. A heartbreaking loss to eventual NCAA runner-up Cornell at the beginning of April was the Big Green’s best effort, followed by a 12-10 defeat at Princeton.
The team was not as far off the mark as its 4-9 overall record would indicate, but winning those close games will be a priority for head coach Brendan Callahan and his staff in 2023.
But how will they get those victories? In a familiar way -- with excellent face-off play, tempo control and tireless defensive efforts.
