After four seasons at the Division 1 level, the Merrimack men’s probationary period is complete; the 2024 season will mark the first time the Warriors will be allowed to compete in conference or NCAA tournaments.
This week it was announced that the program will join the MAAC for the 2024-25 academic year, but this season they will compete in America East for the second straight year.
Merrimack head coach Mike Morgan said he can feel the increased urgency from his team during fall ball.
“I thought we had as much urgency as you could have in a program, but all of a sudden, you know that every second of every game is going to dictate your potential playoff future (and) there’s just another level you kind of unlock when you have that ability to do it,” he said.
