Mike Sciamanna was hired in June to be the new head coach of the Merrimack men’s lacrosse team.
He had spent the past nine years at Division 2 Saint Anselm, and while he spent a lot of this fall getting to know his new players, he said the biggest difference between coaching in Division 2 and now in D-1 is the talent level.
The Warriors return a few seniors from last season’s team that earned its first-ever Division 1 postseason appearance (reaching the semifinals of the America East tournament) after winning back-to-back NCAA D-2 championships in 2018 and '19.
So, what to expect this spring?
