The Vermont defense has been very difficult to get past in recent years.
In each of the past six seasons, Vermont has finished first or second in America East in goals-against average with the exception of 2021, where it still finished fourth -- in the top half of the league -- with a 10.87 GAA.
During that time, defenders James Leary (Seabrook, N.H.), Graham Bocklet and Warren Jeffrey, as well as goalie Nick Washuta, each had the opportunity to suit up and play professional lacrosse.
Even midfielder Ian MacKay will pick up a long-pole in the pros.
