The Providence College men’s lacrosse team continued to make gains over the course of the 2024 season.
The Friars went from a 6-9 overall record and 2-3 in the Big East in 2023 to a 7-8 overall record and 3-2 record in the Big East, earning another trip to the conference semifinals.
The team once again was eliminated by Georgetown, but instead of the 11-goal deficit it lost by in 2023, Providence almost pulled off the upset in 2024, losing 14-13 in overtime.
Also, the team improved its play down the stretch, winning three of its final four games heading into the conference tournament.
