The 2024 season for UMass got off to a pretty promising start. Following a one-goal loss to Army, the Minutemen crafted a four-game win streak that included a victory over rival UMass Lowell.
UMass eventually ended its season on a three-game losing streak, culminating with a first-round defeat at the hands of Saint Joseph's in the Atlantic 10 tournament.
Losing a lot of experienced players from last year, UMass head coach Greg Cannella is now looking to replace major production and rely on youth this upcoming season.
"There's a lot of guys who are going to be thrust into roles," said Cannella. "There's going to have to be a lot of growth as a group. There has been a lot this fall and that needs to continue throughout the season."
