The 2024 Brown season got off on the wrong foot and the team was never able to recover.
The team opened the season with six consecutive losses, including two overtime defeats. Brown finished 3-11, its worst record since going 2-11 in 2006.
Enter new head coach Jon Torpey, who spent the last 15 years as the head coach at High Point University.
In his first fall with the team, he said the coaching staff has brought new things to the table, and one thing in particular he has stressed is taking a growth mindset and a different approach to problem solving.
