Chris Laurita knows lacrosse equipment.
A former midfielder at Stevens Tech, the New Jersey native spent years developing improved technology for Cascade/Maverik Lacrosse. Some designs that he worked on are still being released this year.
However, Laurita left the company and use his engineering skills to begin a more altruistic mission in lacrosse.
Laurita wanted to innovate the design of lacrosse heads. So, he founded a company called 5Lax and produced a head called the Clone that could be strung without tools -- just mesh and tension.
