The first round of the tryout process to make the U.S. team for next summer’s World Lacrosse Men’s Championship begins today in Sparks, Md.
Sixty-seven candidates have been invited to the three-day event, many of them trying out between match weeks in the Premier Lacrosse League.
Of the 67, five are New England natives, and several others played their college ball in the region.
Following the tryout, an initial training roster of approximately 46 players will be named to participate in upcoming team activities this fall.
