Two names you will see in the program record books at Bryant University are Tom Kennedy and Gunnar Waldt. They share something in common aside from the accolades they earned and the fact they both went on to be professional lacrosse players.

What Kennedy and Waldt have in common is they both played lacrosse and football at Bryant. While being a multi-sport athlete in Division 1 is typically a rare feat, it is a trend that continues as long as head coach Mike Pressler is on the lacrosse sidelines.

“I think it’s unique because not too many lacrosse coaches want that in their players; they’d rather have them in fall ball than playing football,” he said. “That allows us to reach out and get talented kids that want to pursue both.”
