BURLINGTON, Mass. -- A promising start turned into a championship for Reading Memorial in the MIAA Division 2 championship game on Sunday.
The top-seeded Rockets downed No. 3 Duxbury, 9-4, in a contest that featured star turns from Robbie and Finn Granara.
The game started slow for both squads as the nerves worked themselves out through a gradual rollout of saved shots and shared turnovers.
Duxbury, true to its identity all season, focused on clamping Reading down and slowing down its own offense to create long possessions.
