For a team of New England boys All-Stars, its regional was worth the wait.
For a team of Connecticut/New York (CONNY) girls All-Stars, the weekend ended with a national championship.
The Under Armour All-American Underclass Tournament concluded over the weekend in Virginia Beach, Va., with the postponed North Super Regional and the national championship running concurrently.
New England won the Highlight Division (juniors and seniors) and earned the right to compete in the national semifinals.
The CONNY girls, who’d won their regional back in August, split two pool games in the Command Division (freshmen and sophomores) before taking out Long Island in the national semifinals and Baltimore in the championship.
