DANVERS, Mass. -- It wasn’t the start that one set of Eagles wanted, but the other squad of avian kings couldn’t have been more pleased before the stormy weather rolled in on Wednesday night.
St. John’s Prep used an overpowering second quarter to open up a 9-4 lead over BC High in the MIAA Division 1 championship game, an anticipated fourth meeting between the two powers this season.
Unfortunately, weather would delay the final result of the contest with 4:23 left to play in the second quarter.
Up until that point, though, the game delivered on its promise. The game will resume from that point at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
