Deerfield, Taft win sessions at NHSLS showcase in Maryland

OAKLAND MILLS, Md. -- Deerfield Academy is up to it again at the National High School Lacrosse Showcase.

One year after winning its 44-team group in the event, a team of Deerfield seniors won all six of its games to claim the Red Session championship on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A Deerfield Class of 2021 team, featuring rising seniors like midfielders Antonio Topouzis (Cornell) and Kade Goldberg (North Carolina) swept its pool play games in the 21-team White Session that began on Thursday, culminating with a 9-7 win over Calvert Hall (Md.).
