D3 Women Notebook: Checking in on New England’s top teams

With May less than two weeks away, postseason play is nearly here for New England's college lacrosse teams.

As that nears, we wanted to check in on the Division 3 women's landscape. It might not carry the prestige of the Division 1 realm, but it's still stocked full with some of the region's top teams, players and coaches.

Look no further than the NESCAC, which has produced national champions in the form of Middlebury, Trinity and Amherst, as well as runners-up in Williams and Bowdoin. There's also quality throughout the NEWMAC, as led by Babson's run of dominance, as well as the Commonwealth Coast Conference, where Endicott runs the show.

Mindful of that, here's how D3 women's lacrosse is shaping up around the region.
