After submissions from nearly a dozen coaches, New England Lacrosse Journal's preseason coaches poll is here for Division 2 women's lacrosse.
Most teams don't have their first official game until mid February or later, so several weeks of preseason remain. Also, the D2 national title hasn't returned to the region since Stonehill won in 2005, though New England is home to arguably the country's top conference in the Northeast 10.
It comes as no surprise to see Merrimack leading the way, but what about New England's other top programs? To answer that, submissions were made anonymously about the region’s teams, then point totals were sorted from highest to lowest to determine the order.
