D1 Women’s Report: Mosenthal and Brown win big

By Marisa IngemiMarch 8, 2018

From an area that had lacrosse an hour and a half away to starring for Brown as a freshman, Campton, New Hampshire native Risa Mosenthal has had to push through to get to where she is.

"It's pretty small," she said. "My public school wasn't big at all, so I went to Holderness, where it was bigger. My club lacrosse team (Granite State Elite) was an hour and a half away. There weren't many options. It's a small community if you want to play in college. It was limited to just two choices."

Despite that, Mosenthal found a way to become an elite talent in the sport. Brown has to be glad she did; with four goals against Bryant on Wednesday night, she helped lead the team back over .500. She scored the game winning goal with just over five minutes left in the 15-14 win.
