D1 Women: Boston College rolls, locals at Denver serve upsets

With the first two rounds of NCAA tournament play wrapped up, seven of eight seeded teams remain.

The sole one no longer standing is No. 8 Michigan, with Denver playing the role of underdog. The Big East program has two New England natives on its roster.

Otherwise, the status quo unfolded in the Division 1 women's national tournament. No. 2 seed Boston College is still alive and kicking, and another home game now awaits for New England's last team in contention. Dartmouth saw its season end in a 15-13 loss to Colorado in the first round.
