It might just be one regular season win, but the tone at UMass Lowell is starting to feel different. As the River Hawks enter their fourth year as a program, it's the first time they are eligible to partake in the America East tounrament.
On Tuesday, the River Hawks knocked off Providence in one of its more accomplished wins in program history. Austin Lane scored with five seconds left to defeat the Friars. On the surface, it is just that; one Tuesday night win in early March.
But for a program that hasn't had much success, and hasn't progressed as far as some may have hoped, it might be a turning point.
