
As the 2019 season nears, the region's faceoff specialist group is bound to look drastically different.
Last year, six of the top 25 nationally in terms of winning percentage called New England home, though they've all since graduated. That group included Kenny Massa of Bryant, Dylan Protesto of Hartford, Conor Mackie of Yale, Will Vitelli (Milford, Conn.) of Quinnipiac, Noah Rak (Norwich, Conn.) of UMass and Ted Ottens (Wilton, Conn.) of Brown.
As those program-defining players depart, several key contributors remain, while transfers and freshmen are bound to shape the field as well. To get a sense of the landscape, New England Lacrosse Journal has highlighted five faceoff specialists who are bound to be turn heads throughout 2019.
