So, who is going to be the beast of the East?
The MIAA’s Division 1 East sectional in girls lacrosse is shaping up to be an intriguing one, with a collection of teams that have largely cruised through regional schedules and are now poised for some big battles.
The section gets underway this afternoon with six first-round games. Top-seeded Franklin (15-0) and No. 2 King Philip Regional (12-2) both earned byes to the quarterfinal round, whose games are scheduled to be played on Monday.
With teams seeded by records, Franklin owns the No. 1 seed. The Panthers have had a nice cycle of older classes in recent years and that hasn’t changed.
