As the holiday season approaches, so does spring.
However, the impending arrival of the Division 1 men’s lacrosse season will bring with it substantial changes to several conferences.
All told, there will be one less league offering an automatic qualifier for the NCAA tournament.
The ASUN and the Atlantic 10 now sponsor men’s lacrosse. As a result, the Northeast Conference (NEC) and the Southern Conference (SoCon) have ceased to sponsor the sport, as schools have defected to their respective preferred conferences.
