A handful of losses in the top five and a huge debut for a new coach made for some changes in this week’s New England Lacrosse Poll.
It was a big week for the Ivies as Yale, Dartmouth and Harvard all earned thrilling victories to improve to 5-0 combined on the young season. Only Brown suffered an overtime setback against Stony Brook coming off a blowout victory against Sacred Heart.
Bryant benefitted from getting the best of Boston University, while Holy Cross and Vermont held strong through holding off UMass-Lowell and Merrimack, respectively.
UMass will look to show it belongs back near the top of next week’s poll when it eyes an upset of the Elis this week, while Brown and Providence battle it out for Rhode Island bragging rights this weekend.
