COVID-19 college fallout: What’s changed for lacrosse?

For the first time in five months, colleges in the region are opening their campuses to students and student-athletes.

Not every college, though, has unlocked its doors due to concerns over the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and fall sports seasons have been largely decimated.

Several conferences, most notably the Big 10 and Pac-12, have postponed their football seasons to the spring, joining local programs like UMass and UConn. More than 50 percent of Division 1 soccer teams have also postponed or canceled fall seasons.
