The honors for players from the region from Major League Lacrosse kept rolling in on Monday, with Chesapeake Bayhawks long-stick midfielder CJ Costabile (New Fairfield, Conn.) getting named the LSM of the Year.
Costablile’s award was announced with those of the other specialists. Bentley product Max Adler was named Faceoff Specialist of the Year while short-stick defensive midfielder Sean Goodrich of the champion Boston Cannons -- already recognized as Defensive Player of the Year -- was also named SSDM of the Year.
"I look at it as a whole team defensive honor," Goodrich said. "We went and played well and helped the team win some games, especially in the championship game not giving up a goal in the fourth quarter. That's a team award and being able to play well in this 10-day tournament makes it that much better with us moving forward."
