Whether on the lacrosse field, on the volleyball court or in the classroom, Sorelle Lawton has always been a fast learner.
She began dabbling in lacrosse at a young age but didn’t play on a club team until the eighth grade. Three years later, she’s established herself as one of the top junior midfielders in Massachusetts and recently committed to the admissions process at Cornell.
“The first day she stepped on the field as a freshman you saw it, her demeanor and her work ethic, how she interacted with her teammates, her IQ level -- it’s way above what her age says she is,” said Chris Tresca, her coach at Dartmouth High School.
The 5-foot-6 midfielder and draw control specialist has only one high school lacrosse season on her resume, but has stood out competing for Laxachusetts teams at tournaments these last couple years.
