Concord-Carlisle (Mass.) High School held off a resurgent Longmeadow team in the final minutes to win the MIAA Division 2 boys lacrosse championship, 11-10.
The Patriots held the lead for most of the contest, but Longmeadow mounted a furious second-half comeback that fell just short.
It was the closest and most thrilling of the three state title games, with C-C head coach Tom Dalicandro’s squad coming up with the victory just as it seemed that its opposition was finally figuring out how to get and gather goals.
That resilience was built from tough games early on in their season.
