No rebuild comes easy, but with a tight-knit group and a teen they call “The Showstopper” between the pipes, Northfield Mount Hermon is readily savoring the process.
Nicknamed for his ability to thrive in pressure-filled situations and his ultra-competitive edge, junior Connor Theriault (Gil, Mass.) is one the top youth goalies around, providing his school hope that a turnaround will come sooner rather than later.
“He’s got a competitive spirit. He’s a winner on the field, off the field,” said Northfield Mount Hermon head coach Rob Cross. “I just really can’t say enough good things about him. He’s like having another coach on the field. He’s very mature beyond his years on the lacrosse field. He’s gritty, he’s tough, he’s athletic.”
