Connecticut: Ridgefield derails Darien in championship

By Craig FordeAugust 1, 2018

After sneaking by Glastonbury, 6-5, in the semifinals, Ridgefield was faced with everyone’s nemesis, Darien, and that team’s 76-game winning streak in the Class L championship.

Despite all the history stacked against it, Ridgefield was able to calmly pull off the upset and make a little history of its own with a 9-8 win for the program’s first state title since 2011.
