
Especially when it comes to Fairfield and New Haven counties, Connecticut schools are home to some of the country's best youth lacrosse.
Look no further than the college game, where top 20 programs include natives of the Nutmeg State in key roles. To name a few, there's sophomore attackman Kevin Lindley (Darien, Conn.) at Loyola, junior attackman Michael Kraus (New Canaan, Conn.) at Virginia and junior midfielder William Perry (Greenwich, Conn.) at North Carolina.
The pipeline out of the CIAC is strong, and it's showing no signs of slowing down in 2019 if our preseason coaches poll is any indication. Nearly 20 CIAC coaches voted anonymously and then votes were tallied on our end to determine the order.
Teams Nos. 1 through 10 are included within, as well as several that were just on the outside looking in.
