The first rounds of the CIAC boys lacrosse tournaments will be played later today at the home of the higher seeds.
Forty-eight teams in Class L, Class M and Class S are still in the running for glory, but those groups have clear tiers: favorites, contenders and dark horses.
In Class L, top-seeded Fairfield Prep begins its tourney run against Newtown, while Cheshire (Class M) and St. Joseph's (Class S) are the state's other No. 1 seeds.
