The year started with the question, “Who can challenge Cheshire (Conn.) High School in Class M?”
On Sunday, it was answered. Nobody.
The top-seeded Rams romped to an 18-3 victory over No. 2 Daniel Hand in the state championship, their first since they defeated Fairfield Prep for the crown in 2010. It was the third meeting between these two teams of the season, with Cheshire winning all three, including a 15-5 win in the conference semifinals before the Rams took down Fairfield Prep to win the SCC.
Here's a look at our championship takeaways.
