I didn’t like my college coach. I hated the offense we ran. I hated the defense we played. I hated pretty much everything about how we executed in games.
Playing in college was extremely frustrating. But it was also very rewarding.
I loved my teammates and I loved my school. I cherished wearing a jersey with “Clark” emblazoned on the front and a “21” on the back.
When my playing career was over I didn’t know what to do. All I had was an English degree and a lot of energy. I applied for several positions, some of which were coaching, most of which were too lofty for my experience level.
