It's been a long time coming.
Well, not that long.
Nearly four years after the Boston Cannons last took the field with their city designation in Major League Lacrosse -- and three years after the franchise was added to the Premier Lacrosse League -- the Cannons are back where they belong in Boston proper.
In an announcement from PLL co-founder and president Paul Rabil on ESPN Tuesday afternoon, each of the league's eight teams was assigned to a geographical region.
